The right words for the child
Christenings bring many gifts: guardian angels, candles, money. What is often missing are the right words. My christening card carries the child’s name, the date and the church. You choose the header yourself, and inside there is room for your own wishes.
The “Zur Taufe” occasion card has a birch plywood disc, engraved with the name for a surcharge. If you design yourself, the “Dove” cutting file with an olive branch is available as a download, for invitations, favours or the christening candle.
Cards and engravings are made after you order, in my workshop in Bergisch Gladbach. You will find more gifts with the baby’s name under New Baby. The folded card comes on white paper or grass paper, with a matching envelope in the same paper if you like.
How much money should you give for a christening?
There is no fixed amount. Godparents usually give more than other guests, what matters is how close you are to the family. A personal card turns any amount into a gift.
How do you wrap money for a christening?
The easiest way is a folded card: the note goes inside, the name, date and church are on the front. With a matching envelope in the same paper it becomes a small keepsake.
What personalised gift can you give for a christening?
A card with the child’s name and the christening details, an engraved wooden disc, or a keepsake with the name from the New Baby category, such as the keepsake box.
