What stays while the baby grows
Rompers get too small, and there are usually more than enough cuddly toys. A new baby gift that lasts keeps the first things safe: the keepsake box with name, date and time of birth, length and weight on the engraved lid, the small beech wood umbilical cord tin, or the folded card that records the first numbers.
For the mum-to-be there is the Mutterpass cover with her name, for the nursery the two-color 3D-printed name sign. I’m a mom myself and know what really gets kept after a birth. The Mutterpass cover carries one of my U-Heft cover motifs, which you choose yourself.
Everything is made after you order, in my workshop in Bergisch Gladbach. Many people order after the birth, once name and details are known. The folded card comes on white paper or grass paper, with a matching envelope in the same paper if you like.
What do you give for a new baby?
Something personal that grows with the child instead of being outgrown: a keepsake box for the first treasures, an umbilical cord tin or a card with the name and birth details.
How much money do you give for a new baby?
There is no fixed rule, it depends on how close you are to the family. A small gift with the baby’s name goes well together with an envelope.
What can I give the neighbours for a new baby?
A small gesture is enough: the “Zur Geburt” occasion card with a wooden disc, engraved with the name for a surcharge, or a folded card with room for your own words.
